These Spanish-Belgian kids posed for the photograph like real actors. Equipped with spectacles, torches and maps, they quickly transformed themselves to explorers into the forest, with me hardly giving them any directions.
For this portrait, we wanted to create a scene in the woods with a mysterious and magical touch.
We were looking for something different from the usual portrait photos of children looking straight into the camera. To achieve that, we looked for clothes and complements with a vintage, yet elegant touch. It was summer time when the shooting was made, so the forest was beautifully dense and the lasts rays of sunlight, graciously filtering through the trees, were used as natural lighting.
